Manage translations of custom slot values and synonyms in your NLX workspace

What's the Languages tab of a custom slot?

Languages manages the translations of all values and synonyms belonging to a custom slot.

Ensure custom slots used in flows have been translated to match the language(s) your conversational AI application ultimately needs to support.

Adding languages

• Select Languages tab of your custom slot

• Click + Add new language > Choose language(s) from dropdown

• To remove a language from the list, click the remove icon beside it

• Click Save

Managing translations

When new languages are added at the workspace level via Translations, they may be applied globally to your resources in your NLX workspace. However, you may add/remove languages at the custom slot level to override your workspace's language settings.

Auto-translation

• Select Manage translations next to supported language

• Choose Auto-translate all > Confirm

Manual translation

• Select Manage translations next to supported language

• Type translation for each value of a custom slot

• Expand slot value > Provide synonyms of the custom value in supported language, if applicable

• Click Save

Optional:

• Expand slot value > Mark as translated overrides auto-translation

• Expand custom slot value > Skip translation if you do not want the custom slot values and synonyms translated or no proper translation exists
