# Channels

Every NLX application needs at least one delivery channel. It's the interface layer where real users interact with your conversational experience. NLX provides a built-in default channel as well as several provider-managed options, so you can deploy across web, mobile, voice, IVR, CCaaS platforms, and more.

#### Default NLX channel

Every AI app in your workspace automatically includes an API channel. Use it to:

* Embed your assistant into a website or mobile app using the NLX Touchpoint SDK
* Enable Voice+ support through NLX’s native web/mobile channel
* Integrate with a custom frontend, backend service, or middleware via REST/WebSocket

Because the API channel is available out of the box, it’s the fastest and most flexible way to implement your application.

#### Managed provider channels

NLX also supports deployment through third-party communication platforms. Each provider channel comes with its own configuration fields, installation steps, and routing behaviors.
